About
Chirag Katti, also known as ‘Sitar Vaadan ka Naya Chirag’ (a new star in the field of sitar), is one of the most promising sitarists in the field of Indian classical music.
Chirag learned sitar from his father Pt. Shashank Katti is an ‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio and has also performed in a national program for AIR in the year 2017.
He has many albums to his credit with reputed music labels like HMV-Saregama, Times Music, Inner Splendor (New York), etc.
Chirag made his international solo concert debut at Tokyo Radio Japan at the age of 16 and has performed on many television channels, radio, and at concerts all over India and abroad. Apart from his several classical solo USA tours, he has also performed in Japan, South Africa, Austria, Dubai, and Bangkok to name a few.
Chirag invented Sitarzz which looks a lot like an electric guitar and has his own world fusion band called Sitar Rhapsody.
He has worked with reputed music directors like Pritam, Ustad Taufiq Qureshi, Amit Trivedi, Sachin-Jigar, and Anu Malik to name a few.
Chirag has participated in International Music Festivals in Adelaide Australia, York Early Music Festivals in England, Fez World Music Festival in Morocco, the Festival at Opera House in Sydney, the La Digue Music Festival in Seychelles, Singapore, and many more.
He has written a book for the students who are learning Tabla named Susanvad Tablyashi in the Marathi language which is very popular in Maharashtra.

- He has been awarded the scholarship for sitar by the Ministry of Culture, New Delhi.
